Hillary Clinton Confirmed by Senate Committee

This morning, the Senate Foreign Relations committee voted in favor of Hillary Clinton’s appointment by 16 to one.  Secretary of State nominee, Clinton delivered a farewell speech to her Senate colleagues.

Upon the conclusion of her speech, Clinton stated: “I remain an optimist that America’s best days are still ahead of us”.

Certainly, this optimism may be extended to women across the globe as we anticipate foreign policy changes that place a greater emphasis on women’s international development.
