Raise Your Voice for Beijing +15
In preparation for the Beijing +15 conference, the United Nations is facilitating an online discussion forum to spread ideas and opinions on women’s rights. The conference serves to complete a 15-year review of the Beijing Declaration and Platform of Action, a plan that includes the promotion of equal rights and the advancement of women around the world. Topics on the online forum will incorporate these goals.
From November 16-December 11 the online discussion topic is violence against women, and will be moderated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The second discussion will take place from November 18- December 16 and will focus on women and the economy, moderated by the World Bank.
