About: Rory Gerberg

Rory Gerberg’s experiences working with marginalized peoples in Guatemala and working with sustainable development in Kenya led her to a passion for human rights and women’s empowerment. To further pursue these passions, she joined Vital Voices in January 2009 as an intern in the Middle East and North Africa department. Rory has drafted letters of inquiry for funding for Vital Voices initiatives and has written material for the Vital Voices website. In addition to providing general support for Vital Voices programs, she has researched extensively on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and on women in Afghanistan. Rory is an undergraduate student at George Washington University, where she majors in international affairs, and hopes to pursue a career in human rights and women’s empowerment.
