Vital Voices Making it Our Business Breast Cancer Awareness Program Expands in 2009
In October 2007, Vital Voices launched a new program in the Middle East entitled Making It Our Business: Breast Cancer Awareness (MIOB). This program aims at educating and raising the awareness of company employees on the risk factors of breast cancer. Several regionally based United States companies—from General Electric to Johnson & Johnson—as well as local charter companies in the region are participating. These partnerships will increase awareness on prevention both in the workplace and in their communication with consumers. Many companies now provide training to their staff and include helpful information for women in their marketing campaigns.
